We start with the finest malted wheat and Pilsner malt, use traditional German mashing techniques, extend the boil for extra color and ferment it with a classic German wheat beer yeast strain. This style of beer is unfiltered and appears hazy in the glass. Careful temperature control during the fermentation gives the beer clove, banana and even a bit of bubblegum in the nose. The hopping is all German, with the exception of a small last minute addition of American hops. The result is a subtle citrus aroma in this already great tasting German-style wheat beer.

Player Stats: April showers bring May flowers, what is a brewer to do? Well, make a beer with them! After all, hops are a flower, and they were included in this beer as well as 10 other flowers (Roses, Heather, Hibiscus, Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, Helichrysum, Honeysuckle, Lavendar, Blue Violet, and Elder). All of the flowers were grown organically with no pesticides and would be used to make teas. Clover honey was also added (bringing our “mix of flowers” total to a dozen). Also, we added Szechuan peppers, coriander, and black pepper. It is fermented with a Belgian yeast to give a tart, fruity, and dryish character. It has hints of honey and pepper and a slight floral aroma as well as a bitter undertone. It is a Belgian Golden/Pale ale (although a Saison would also work).

Player Stats: Love Juice, or Juice of Love is a Belgian-specialty fruit beer. This beer is brewed with our base malt, wheat, Acidulated malt and Spelt. Spelt is an ancient grain that is related to wheat, and lends an earthy flavor tone to the beer. The use of “four times the recommended maximum percentage” of Acid malt adds a tart acidity that in turn enhances the acidity that is derived from the stone fruit. Apricot dominates the fruit flavors but allows a hint of cherry and peach to show through as well. Look for a very dry, tart, refreshing fruit flavor with floral aromatics from the Belgian yeast.
